Anxiety, Depression & Health

When your mind feels busy, low, or your body just doesn’t feel right

If you’re here, you may be feeling not quite yourself.

Your mind might be constantly busy, thinking ahead, going over things, trying to stay in control. Or you might feel the opposite, flat, low, or lacking energy and motivation. For many people, it’s a mixture of both and it can feel confusing, especially when you can’t quite explain why.

You might recognise some of this

  • Your mind overthinks everything, especially at night
  • You find it hard to switch off or properly relax
  • You feel tense, on edge, or overwhelmed
  • Your sleep isn’t as good as it used to be
  • You feel low, flat, or lacking motivation
  • You feel emotionally drained or exhausted
  • You struggle to focus or make decisions

You may also notice:
  • Worrying about what others think
  • Needing reassurance, but still not quite feeling settled
  • Feeling pressure to cope or “hold it all together”

Many people say: “I just don’t feel like myself anymore.”

When it starts to affect your body

For some people, this doesn’t just stay in the mind. You might also be dealing with physical symptoms that don’t fully make sense, especially if you’ve already had things checked.

You might notice:

  • Digestive issues such as IBS or a “nervous stomach” Headaches, migraines, or ongoing tension
  • Feeling constantly tired or low in energy
  • Dizziness or light-headedness
  • Becoming very aware of your body or symptoms
  • Some people come to me with:
    IBS
  • TMS or mind–body symptoms
  • Fibromyalgia or chronic pain
  • Chronic fatigue
  • POTS or nervous system dysregulation

If that’s you, it can feel frustrating… and sometimes quite worrying.

What’s really going on

Nothing here means there’s something wrong with you. It usually means your system has been under pressure for a while. When that happens, it can become more sensitive, both mentally and physically.
  • Sometimes it speeds up (anxiety)
  • Sometimes it slows down (low mood)
And sometimes it starts to show up in the body too. It’s your system trying to protect you… just working a bit too hard.

The important part – This is something I help people with every day, and it can change.

What people often notice as things shift
  • A quieter, less intrusive mind
  • Feeling calmer and more in control
  • Better, more natural sleep
  • Less focus on symptoms
  • More energy and motivation
  • Feeling more like themselves again
It’s not about forcing change. It’s about things starting to feel easier.
