Fears & Phobias

Overcoming specific fears with calm, evidence-based techniques.

If your specific fear is not listed below, please do not worry.
Most phobias respond to the same underlying principles, and I regularly work with fears beyond those named here.

Many clients arrive feeling:
• Anxious or sick at the thought of flying, driving, or medical visits
• Afraid of fainting, losing control, or having a panic attack
• Embarrassed by a fear that seems irrational
• Frustrated at avoiding situations they once managed
You may wish to feel calm and confident in these situations, yet find yourself blocked by an automatic fear response.

Not Seeing Your Specific Fear?
It is very likely that I can still help and you are welcome to make an enquiry to discuss your situation. The content of the fear is often less important than the pattern maintaining it.

A Calm and Structured Approach
Phobias are extremely common and often affect capable, intelligent people. They are learned protective responses that can be updated.
Work focuses on helping the nervous system update outdated fear responses, so that situations which once triggered anxiety can be approached calmly and confidently. Even fears that feel deeply entrenched can respond surprisingly well to my gentle compassionate approach.
• Reduce phobic reactions to trigger situations
• Restore confidence and a sense of control
• Move forward without forcing or repeated exposure

Treatment does not involve repeatedly forcing yourself into the fear or being analysed for the root cause..
